True innovators change multiple games all at once. As such, Jaden Smith elevates music, film, fashion, and philanthropy with each evolution.

Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, better known as Jaden Smith or known mononymously as Jaden, is an American rapper, actor, singer, and songwriter.

Early life[]

Jaden was born on July 8, 1998 to Will Smith and Jada-Pinkett Smith, with a half brother named Trey and a sister named Willow, who is also a singer.

Known for his daring style and defiance in the face of social norms, Jaden Smith had always seen himself as an outsider, thus establishing his own clothing and media brand "MSFTSrep" in 2012 at the age of 14.

Career[]

As an actor[]

He made his acting debut in the 2006 film, The Pursuit Of Happyness. In 2010, he starred alongside Jackie Chan in the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid. In 2013, he starred alongside his father in After Earth, which was considered a failure, causing Jaden to give up acting for quite some time.

As a musician[]

In 2010, Jaden was featured in the song "Never Say Never" by Canadian singer Justin Bieber. On October 1, 2012, Jaden released his debut mixtape, The Cool Cafe. The mixtape was heavily dependent on samples, as a result, the mixtape was not issued on streaming services.

After the failure of After Earth in 2013, he became a full time rapper and singer, releasing his second mixtape titled CTV2 in 2014. CTV2 was issued to streaming services in 2016. In 2015, he released a 3-song extended play, titled This Is The Album.

Back in 2014, Jaden started to work on his debut studio album. He announced in December 2016 that his debut album would be named Syre. Its lead single, "Fallen" was released on December 5, 2016. This was then followed by three more singles, "Batman" and "Watch Me" on July 14, 2017 and "Falcon" on November 16, 2017.

Syre was released on November 17, 2017. On the same day, Jaden released a music video for the track "Icon". There was supposed to be a music video for the song "Falcon" instead, but the video was shot wrong. As a result, Jaden panic-released the "Icon" music video, leading to a massive success. "Icon" remains Jaden's signature song.

Around a month after the release of Syre, Jaden announced that his next project, which follows Syre would be titled Erys. On July 12, 2018, Jaden released his second extended play, titled Syre: The Electric Album. He then went on to release his third mixtape, titled The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story on November 17, 2018.

Jaden's second studio album, titled Erys was released on July 5, 2019. He released "Cabin Fever" on July 24, 2020, from his third studio album, titled CTV3: Cool Tape Vol. 3. The album features collaborations with Jaden's previous collaborator, Justin Bieber, on the song "Falling for You", and with another previous collaborator, Raury, on the song "Endless Summer".

On June 21, 2021, Jaden released the single, "Bye". On August 27, 2021, Jaden released what may be his final album, CTV3: Day Trippers Edition. In an interview with Complex, he revealed that he doesn't plan on making another album, fully shifting to his fashion company, MSFTSrep.

Post-musical career[]

Since CTV3: Day Trippers Edition, Jaden has been primarily focusing on his fashion line MSFTSrep. Although, he quietly released 2 singles titled "Trippy Summer '21" and "MSFTS Jacket".

In 2022, he updated his website (jadensmith.com) which featured an MP3 file of an unreleased song, the song had autotuned vocals singing over a guitar driven track, very much similar to songs on his 2021 project "CTV3: Day Trippers Edition".[1]
